Also a function I think is useful is a 'product catalogue' switch,ie no sale carts and prices if you want it just to show your wares, then can turn on as needed..
that way if you want a catalog system you have to have two systems,

WHEN WILL THIS BE READY!!!

Please have a feature like in VirtueMart to shut off the shopping cart so its just a product catalog.

Plus, a feature to import settings from VirtueMart etc would be more than helpful to convert over to your great cart.

Amazing! Can you give some in-sights or examples for the frontend layout...

i mean, how is the product and categories layout managed? Are there any page templates? Is it more like the current VirtueMart, which has different html output files to choose from? How do i customize and style the layout?

I'm looking forward to test this component and am quite excited about the fact that you want to make this "the best in the world"! Can you do it? I'm sure you can! I think the only barriers are people's mind. If you want, you can!

Anyway, I usually don't comment since I have no time for this but I thought I might help you out with something. All I wanted you to know is to take a look at Ixxo Cart (www.php-shop-system.com), which is by far the best solution at the moment. This might help you improve yours and build in features they don't have:
- graphs of profit (per day, per month ...)
- ...

The only "stupid" thing with Ixxo cart is that you get to pay 160$ if you want their "Powered by IXXO Cart" removed. Come on ... how stupid is that ? Is paying for the software not enough?! LoL
Anyway, amazing software, and they put up a "full" functional test site for you as soon as you ask! ;o) (don't forget to ask for your language if english doesn't match your needs)

Really take a look at it, you'll be amazed.

I used to use Virtuemart, ... it's good for a start ... but for big companies, there are big demands! And that, Virtuemart can't handle.
