Category Management 

Lets look at what is happening in development room. The category management process is as simple as managing any category in Joomla.

Though category management is simple, it is powerful and allows all features.

Sort columns, Order categories, Publish/Unpublish, Access, Tree-like view, unlimited nesting level.

Edit Category 

Category add form has all core Joomla features for categories and even more. 

Title of the category page, category name, access, image and description will help you to format your shop pages perfectly and display it in the core Joomla style. That means you will not need to write additional style sheet to adopt. JCommerce will automatically feet your template unlike many other components. JCommerce output will be formated with core Joomla classes. Maybe few classes will be added.

Please, pay attention to layouts.  Layouts are how list of goods in this category should looks like. The layouts are easy to be edited as simple html templates. Easy to install. Just copy icon, xml and html file in special folder. That means that layouts can be created separately (even by 3dp) and installed on the system like extra pack for example.

Late we plan to make !Extras Section where one can install extra category layouts, goods layouts, plug-ins, templates, Icons sets, etc...

This component sounds very promising. When will it be avaialble? Will it have the same kind of B2B functionality as Alibaba.
