Is there a way to protect certain forms created in fireboard or PHPBB that will restrict based on paid subsription level?

It is possible for FireBoard but not possilbe for PHPBB as it is not Joomla's script.

For FB you just need enter certain task and value options in the additional fields that appears after the component are checked to restriction under the subscription plan configuration.

Sure, the below link is to the forum that I want restricted for just subscribers (and all child boards under it). I'm assuming that I can create one subscription that can unlock content and this component at the same time (so that the subscriber doesn't have to subscribe to two different things?)?!? Thanks for your help.

try follow:

task = task value = listcat

it will restict all forums,

task = catid value = 40

will restict exactly forum to which link you provided.

it should work without additinal integraions at all and it works with sef turned on as well.
