Hello,

All the accents are replaced by inderscore in the SEF generated url addresses. It is necessary to take again all the addresses with the hand to replace ? or ? by e and the ? or ? by u...

Thank you for your help,

Denis

Hello,

To improve this you'll need adjust your site charset ini file (iso-5859-1.ini, utf-8.ini etc...) You'll need change file that used in configuration of JP, SEF tab option translit configuration.
Just open this file with notepad and follow instructions inside it. I suppose you'll need do something like this:
?=e
?=e
?=u
?=u
etc...
Now by default it is adjusted only for russian.

Thank you.

Hello,

I complete the site charset in 2 files:

iso-5859-1.ini and utf-8.ini.

I uploaded them in self_translits repertory but the news SELF url addresses created with accents (?) in article title not appear like (e).

The (e) or (?) letter with accent disapear in the SEF url address created.

.htaccess file can it be the cause of trouble ?

I make focus the domain name on a sub-directory in which .htaccess file is.

For iso-5859-1.ini file my code is:

;
[line=#808080]

; iso-8859-1

[options]

is_mb=0
encoding=ISO-8859-1

[chars]

‰=pour-mille
%=pourcent
A=a
?=a
?=a
?=a
?=a
?=a
?=a
?=a
?=a
?=c
?=c
?=e
?=e
?=e
?=e
?=e
?=e
?=i
?=i
?=i
?=i
?=o
?=o
?=u
?=u
?=u
?=u
?=u
+=plus
?=divise
?=oe
?=ae
?=oe
°=degre
?=euros
$=us-dollars
?=livres-sterling

Denis

Hello,

Sorry, please try to delete all SEFs for com_content at the JPromoter control panel, SEF URLs section.

Thank you.

Hello,

I do that and I lost all the Metatag for com_content  but the problem is not resolve

For example SEF url is .../dernieres-news-s-curit-et-accidents-de-plong-e/d-rive-au-cap-sici-83.html without (e) for (?), not like...//dernieres-news-securite-et-accidents-de-plongee/derive-au-cap-sicie-83.html

Thank you for your help,

Denis

Hello,

I found the reason in the iso-5859-1.ini file.

The characters (?) and (?) had disappeared and the transformation in (e) could not take place in SEF url address.

I used Adobe Dreamweaver to open the file and I think it had badly encoding.

I then opened again the file with BBEdit light (like Notepade for code) and I realized that (?) and (?) characters were not present any more. I added them again...

Now accentuation transformation for SEF url address is correct. A pleasure

With you to make appreciate to have a language with accents

I then removed all the SEF url addresses so that they are created again correctly.

Now that goes in an automatic way and it is better than with the hand even if it is necessary to add the meta data to the hand

Thank you for your patience and help

Denis
