Jpromoter affecting .htaccess 404 pages  #1247

I tried to configure the .htaccess so instead of getting a 404 page it redirects to the homepage.

However, after no solution, i contacted the hosting company and they told me that a 3rd party application was affecting the functionality of the redirection of the 404 page using .htaccess.

Is it possible that the .htaccess that was downloaded to use with Jpromoter might be affecting these?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Hello Rodrigo,

The .htaccess file that you downloaded from our area is the same default joomla .htaccess. Exept it has commented core sef area and active 3d.

if you want customize the 404 page, better make it directly in the Joomla's file:
JoomlaRoot/templates/404.php
